Songlog ("the app") is a songwriting app for capturing chords, lyrics, and audio takes. This policy explains how the app handles your information.

Summary

Songlog does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data. There is no Songlog account and no Songlog server. The content you create stays on your device and, if you are signed in to iCloud, in your own private iCloud account.

Information you create

When you use the app you may create:

• Song titles, lyrics, and chord notations
• Folders to organize songs
• Audio recordings ("takes") made with your device's microphone

This content is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device database. It is owned and controlled by you.

iCloud sync

If you are signed in to iCloud and have iCloud Drive enabled, the app syncs your content to your private iCloud database so it stays consistent across your devices. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account under your control. The developer cannot access it. Apple's handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy (https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/).

Device permissions

• Microphone — used only to record audio takes that you choose to record. Recordings are saved to your songs (on your device and your iCloud) and are never sent to the developer or any third party.
• Photo Library (add only) — used only when you choose to save a lyric or chord sheet as an image to your Photos. The app does not read your existing photos.

You can change these permissions at any time in the Settings app.

What the app does NOT do

• No analytics, tracking, or advertising
• No third-party SDKs that collect data
• No data sent to the developer or external servers
